MPI Media Group’s Greg Newman produced the movie along with Gigi Graff. Onur Tukel directed from his own script.
The pic follows two bitter rivals who had been close in college. Oh plays a wealthy housewife and Heche portrays a struggling artist at a time when a U.S. president is hell-bent on starting a new war in the Middle East.
When the women find themselves attending the same glitzy birthday party, verbal barbs lead to fisticuffs and an all-out brawl. Silverstone portrays the love interest of Heche’s character.
“I expected the lead performances to be brilliant, but what they did blew my mind,” Tukel said. “The fight scenes are also insanely intense. We’ve made a very funny comedy here, but it’s also tragically dark.”
MPI Group teamed with Tukel on his last two films, “Applesauce” and the vampire comedy “Summer of Blood.”
