The American Film Market has announced that its lineup will include 324 market premieres with stars including Michael Fassbender, John Travolta, Tom Hanks and Emma Watson.

The 36th edition of the market launches Nov. 4 in Santa Monica at the Loews Hotel.

The AFM, which is not open to the general public, is launching with several high-profile films that have not been shown previously: “Trespass Against Us,” starring Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson; John Travolta’s “I Am Wrath”; “Daughter of God” with Keanu Reeves; “The Phenom,” starring Ethan Hawke and Paul Giamatti; and “Get Squirrely,” with voice performances by John Leguizamo, Will Forte and John Cleese.

Films making their market debuts at AFM include “Ithaca,” Meg Ryan’s directorial debut with Tom Hanks, Sam Shepard and Jack Quaid; thriller “Go with Me,” starring Anthony Hopkins, Julia Stiles and Ray Liotta; “Urban Hymn,” starring Shirley Henderson; “Sky” with Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus; “Colonia,” starring Emma Watson, Daniel Bruhl and Michael Nyqvist.

Other market debuts include the documentary “Janis: Little Girl Blue,” directed by Amy Berg; “The Confirmation,” starring Clive Owen, Maria Bello, Patton Oswalt, Jaeden Lieberher and Matthew Modine; “Touched with Fire” with Katie Holmes and “Angry Indian Goddesses.”

The AFM will screen over 400 films this year. It has attracted more than 70 new exhibiting companies for the upcoming event, with 22 new companies from the booming Asian market.

The market is one of the top events for independent sales activity along with the Berlin, Cannes and Toronto film festivals.
