Aiming to work on both arthouse films and mainstream fare, TF1 Intl. has boarded Samuel Benchetrit’s dramedy “Macadam Stories” and “Serial Teachers 2” from  producer Romain Rojtman.

“Macadam Stories” stars Isabelle Huppert, Gustave Kervern, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Michael Pitt.

Pic follows the chance encounter of six solitary people, which gives rise to surprising moments of compassion and intimacy.

“‘Macadam Stories” touched us because it’s truly a humanist film; it shows the specificity of mankind, its capacity of going towards one another, enriching each others,” said Sabine Chemaly, head of international sales at TF1 Intl.

TF1 Intl. is reteaming with “Serial Bad Weddings” producer Rojtman on “Serial Teachers 2” (Les Profs 2), the sequel of the French comedy blockbuster “Les Profs” (pictured above) directed by Pierre-Francois Martin-Laval. The first opus of the comic book-based laffer turned out to be Gaul’s biggest local B.O. hit of 2013 with a $32 million gross. The sequel follows the adventures of craziest French teachers who are sent to British boarding school to save the queen.

The Paris-based company scored big with “Serial Bad Weddings,” which topped last year’s French box office and grossed $174 million worldwide.

In Berlin, TF1 Intl. is also selling “The Canterville Ghost,” a family entertainment film starring Audrey Fleurot (“Intouchables”) as the 18th century ghost.
