Cannes: Katee Sackhoff to Star in Supernatural Horror ‘Don’t Knock Twice’

Katee Sackhoff, whose credits include “Oculus,” “Riddick” and “Battlestar Galactica,” is to star in the supernatural horror film “Don’t Knock Twice,” directed by Caradog James and being sold in Cannes by Content Media.

In the vein of “Candyman” meets “The Ring,” “Don’t Knock Twice” is based on an urban legend. To save her estranged daughter, a guilt-ridden mother must uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.

James (“The Machine,” “Little White Lies”) is directing “Don’t Knock Twice” from a script by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler, who co-wrote “Howl.”

The film is being produced by Red & Black Films’ John Giwa-Amu (“The Machine,” “The Call Up”) and Seymour Films’ Claire Moorsom. Content’s president of film, Jamie Carmichael, serves as executive producer. Principal photography will commence in July in the U.K. “Don’t Knock” Twice is financed by Altara, Ffilm Cymru Wales and Content Media.
