Ryan Kavanaugh to Deliver Keynote at India’s Frames Conference

MUMBAI — Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of Relativity Media, will deliver the keynote address at Frames, the annual entertainment industry conference in Mumbai, India, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Kavanaugh’s keynote, titled “Make in India: A revolutionary new model for Hollywood and Bollywood,” is part of the conference’s overarching focus “Making India the Global Entertainment Superpower,” which is, in turn, allied to the Indian government’s Make in India program that aspires to transform the country into a global manufacturing hub.

Later, Kavanaugh will join actor Irrfan Khan (“Jurassic World”) in a discussion. Relativity has interests in India including deals with B4U Network and Balaji Telefilms.

Other attendees expected at the event include Christopher Keyser, president of the Writers Guild of America, West; Michael C. Ellis, president and managing director MPA- Asia Pacific; Jim Egan, CEO, BBC Global News; Valerie Creighton, CEO Canada Media Fund; Elena Kim, director, content acquisition and business development, Vimeo; and a veritable who’s who of the Indian entertainment industry.

FICCI president Jyotsna Suri said: “We are now on the cusp of a galloping change, with the digital age opening up a world of boundless opportunity, bringing creative minds, industry, government, entrepreneurs, research and all other stakeholders together.”

Frames will take place March 25-27.
