Wayne Brady Makes a Deal in Sherman Oaks (EXCLUSIVE)

“Let’s Make a Deal” host Wayne Brady has, per virtually unimpeachable celebrity real estate super-snitch Lucy Spillerguts, made a slightly more than $2.5 million pact for a residence so high in the mountains above the San Fernando Valley community of Sherman Oaks it was marketed as “Bel Air adjacent.”

A kooky, barrel-vaulted breezeway connects the gated driveway to the slightly more than 4,200-square-foot, single-story sprawler that’s derived of no particular architectural vernacular, at least as far as this property gossip can tell. A wide entrance hall steps down to a separate dining room and opens to a cavernous, bifurcated living space with a vaulted ceiling held aloft by a series of muscular, exposed wood trusses. A towering, stacked-stone fireplace stands between the “formal” living room and adjoining family room that’s completely open to an extravagantly equipped center-island kitchen. Four en suite guest bedrooms and a separate office are joined by a spacious if unconventionally shaped master bedroom with direct access to a broad terrace that runs the full width of the house before it wraps around the family room to accommodate a kidney-shaped swimming pool and spa with canyon-framed city lights view.

Mister Brady, a multiple Emmy winner who will make his drag debut in the Broadway smash “Kinky Boots” next month, is certainly no stranger to the property gossip columns: In March 2013, he dumped a mock-Med McMansion in Sherman Oaks for $1.8 million, and subsequently shelled out $1.75 million for an ocean-view condo in Pacific Palisades he put up for sale last summer at $1.95 million, and sold late last month for a bit over $1.82 million.
