Rick Nicita and Paula Wagner List BevHills Compound

SELLERS: Paula Wagner and Rick Nicita
LOCATION: Beverly Hills, CA
PRICE: $12,500,000
SIZE: 6 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Hawk-eyed informant Rick Wrinklebottom has kindly clued Your Mama in via digital communiqué that one of Hollywood’s premiere power couples, Paula Wagner and Rick Nicita, have just today heaved their walled and gated compound high in the mountains above Beverly Hills on the open market with a $12,500,000 price tag.

Listing details note this is first time in more than two decades the “Dutch-influenced” two-parcel compound of nearly an acre has been available “in more than two decades.” And, indeed, as best as this property gossip can tell from a careful examination of property records, Mister Nicita — one of Tom Cruise’s agents at CAA — and Miz Wagner — a multi-dimension industry veteran and Tom Cruise’s producing partner — purchased the bulk of the city view estate in early 1990 for $2,545,000 and the remainder was acquired in early 1994 for $1.3 million.

The carefully remodeled and painstakingly maintained two-story-plus main residence has, per digital marketing materials, four bedrooms, “multiple fireplaces” and formal living and dining rooms as well as a den, paneled library/office and family room. (Listing details don’t note the size of the main house but the L.A. County Tax Man has it at 3,836, a figure that may or may not be accurate.) Many rooms open to the numerous balconies, terraces and balustraded loggias that overlook the compound’s carefully groomed grounds, free-form swimming pool and/or panoramic city lights view.

A second building holds a guest or staff apartment plus a 35mm screen room with tiled fireplace and French doors while a separate, and more contemporary-minded two-story guesthouse has two bedrooms, a living room with fireplace and steeply pitched double-height ceiling, an adjoining dining room and a full kitchen along with a professional quality fitness room.

Your Mama’s research reveals in July 2008 the professionally formidable pair paid $4.5 million for a 2,241-square-foot condo with skyline views in a high-grade boutique building New York City’s TriBeCa ‘hood.
