YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Though the deal went down with little fanfare some months ago, we’ve only recently learned and property records reveal that British writer-producer Andrew O’Connor sold his mansion in L.A.’s coveted and high-priced Brentwood Park ‘hood after just one week on the open market for an impressive $13.177 million. The casually dressed but properly luxurious property was purchased by Mister O’Connor in May 2010 for exactly $11 million and, though the new owner’s identity is shielded behind a seemingly impervious corporate entity, ever-dauntless real estate yenta Yolanda Yakketyyak says she’ll swear on a stack of newborn babies as high as the Empire State Building it’s prolific television producer Brian Robbins (“Smallville,” “The Royals,” “Richie Rich,” etc.).

Mister O’Connor, a former child actor and children’s magician, wrote and/or produced a slew of often magic-oriented programs in the U.K. — he frequently works with English mentalist-illusionist Derren Brown —before he went on to co-create, write and produce the cleverly idiosyncratic, long-running and critically acclaimed sitcom “Peep Show.” More recently he produced the not particularly successful romantic comedy “That Awkward Moment,” with “High School Musical” star Zach Efron, and he’s currently at work producing the upcoming CNN docu-series “United Shades of America” that aims to turn a provocatively comedic eye on a variety of American subcultures.

The clapboard sided and stone-accented mansion, which official listing descriptions rather hyperbolically described it as “arguably one of the most beautiful homes in Los Angeles,” sits behind a high hedge and electronic driveway gates, was built in 2010 on a pancake flat 0.46-acre mid-block parcel, and measures in at a considerable 10,300 square feet with half-a-dozen bedrooms, as many fireplaces, two laundry rooms, an elevator, and a total seven full and three half bathrooms.
