Natasha Bedingfield Buys Beachwood Canyon Abode

BUYER: Natasha Bedingfield
LOCATION: Los Angles, Calif.
PRICE: $1.65 million
SIZE: 3,386 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Though she owns a larger and far more expensive home in L.A.’s celebrity-approved Laughlin Park enclave, where other homeowners include Kristin Stewart, Ellen Pompeo and Natalie Portman, English pop star Natasha Bedingfield and her businessman hubby Matt Robinson have acquired a semi-Spanish style house high above L.A.’s Beachwood Canyon for $1.65 million.

Listing details show the two-story house was originally built in 2000 on a 0.18-acre ridgeline lot with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in 3,386 square feet. A gated, courtyard entry and deep porch lead to the center hall entry and stair hall off of which spoke a living room with wood-beamed ceiling, fireplace and three sets of French doors, a dining room with three more sets of French doors and an eat-in kitchen with double-wide center island, a bedroom-sized wine storage room and ka-razy, purple-accented ceramic tile countertops.

Upstairs, two guest/family bedrooms — one with private, step-out balcony and the other with a peek-a-boo view of the Hollywood sign— share a ceramic tiled Jack ‘n’ Jill-style bathroom, while the master includes a private entry vestibule, small city-view balcony, a windowed walk-in closeted and another ceramic-tiled bathroom.

The small backyard has a vine-shaded dining terrace with over the shrubbery canyon and city views and a wee patch of flat lawn space that quickly gives way to a precipitous slope.

Almost two years ago, Miz Bedingfield and Mister Robinson sold for $316,000 an investment property in the relatively undiscovered Montecito Heights ‘hood east of Dodger Stadium, and our research shows their other, aforementioned home in the Laughlin Park enclave was listed for sale last year for at a variety of prices between $3.488 million and $3.75 million and until earlier this month was available as a rental at $18,000 per month.
