‘Astronaut Wives Club’ Star Yvonne Strahovski Enlisted for Next ‘Princess Rap Battle’

Yvonne Strahovski will appear in the fifth episode of the popular “Princess Rap Battle” series later in June, Variety has learned exclusively. Best known for her work on “Chuck” and “Dexter,” Strahovski will soon be seen headlining ABC’s“The Astronaut Wives Club.”

“Princess Rap Battle” is a series co-written and co-produced by Whitney Avalon and Steve Gossett and imagines female characters from literature and pop culture going head-to-head in rap battles. Gossett directs and Avalon performs — she’s already played Mary Poppins, Snow White and Princess Leia.

Episodes are available on Avalon’s YouTube channel. Most recently, Emmy winner Sarah Michelle Gellar was seen as Cinderella, battling Belle (Avalon) in an episode that earned more than 10 million views in it’s first month and hit #1 on YouTube the day after release.

Audiences will have to wait until later this month to see which icon Strahovski will be taking on, but Avalon has nothing but praise for her co-star. “Yvonne is a spectacular talent and a total sweetheart,” says Avalon. “We couldn’t be more excited to work with her.”
