YouTube comedians Kian Lawley and Jc Caylen have signed with CAA, which will work to develop opportunities for the duo in digital and other areas, including branded content, TV, film and commercial endorsements.
In mid-January, Lawley (above right) and Caylen launched the KianAndJc channel on YouTube with short films and comedy sketches; both also post weekly content to their individual channels. Since then, the KianAndJc channel has drawn more than 900,000 subscribers and 19 million views — it’s one of the fastest-growing channels on the service. The duo has a combined fanbase of nearly 4.5 million on Instagram and Twitter.
Lawley, 19, runs YouTube channel SuperKian13, with more than 2.5 million subscribers and 134 million views to date. Additionally, he is set to star in horror film “The Chosen” from Supergravity Pictures and Sunrise Pictures’ Terror Films, scheduled for summer 2015 release. The 22-year-old Caylen’s YouTube channel Lifewithjc has about 2.2 million subscribers and more than 89 million views, with a fanbase of more than 2 million followers on Instagram and Twitter and more than 567,000 fans on Facebook.
CAA will work to create opportunities for Lawley and Caylen in all areas, in the traditional and digital space, including television, film, commercial endorsements, distribution partnerships, personal appearances and publishing.
Lawley and Caylen continue to be managed by Andrew Graham at AwesomenessTV’s Big Frame; their attorney is Danny Miller of Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof + Fisherman.
Earlier this month, CAA signed another digital performer, YouTube comedian and rapper Timothy DeLaGhetto, who is also known under the pseudonym Traphik.
