NBCUniversal’s Seeso Finalizes Launch Date, Comedy Slate

NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises has finalized the launch date and schedule for Seeso, its much-buzzed about ad-free subscription comedy channel.

The first episodes of the new series are free, with new episodes being made available to subscribers each week starting Jan. 13.

Other series and specials, such as Dan Harmon’s fantasy role-playing series “HarmonQuest” and Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher’s stand-up series “Take My Wife,” will be rolled out throughout the coming year.

Seeso’s library also includes high-def remastered versions of “Kids in the Hall” and “Monty Python’s Flying Circus.”

“We think the world needs more laughter, so we put together what we think is the best collection of comedy in one place. Come, seeso for yourself,” said Evan Shapiro, exec v.p. of NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises.
