NBC Universo, the Peacock’s cable channel aimed at young Latinos, has ordered summer-themed “Vive el Verano” series featuring Hispanic social-media influencers from digital-media firm Mitú.

“Vive el Verano” (pictured above in production) will comprise 36 clips, each between two and three minutes, that will air on NBC Universo and also be distributed via the cabler’s VOD, online and mobile platforms as well as via YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The series will star popular popular Mitú talent including El Guzii, Maiah Ocando, Luan Palomera, Luisito Comunica and Eddie G. Topics will include do-it-yourself summer hacks, must-have summer apps, backyard and pool activity ideas, grilling recipes and outdoor entertaining tips.

“The strong combination of relevant, fun, shortform content on NBC Universo platforms and Mitú’s popularity and reach will resonate with Latino millennials, many of whom have grown up with our network,” said Bilai Joa Silar, SVP of programming and production.
