Internet radio platform TuneIn has teamed up with the NFL to bolster its paid premium tier: TuneIn Premium subscribers now have access to live play-by-play coverage of all NFL games, from preseason games all the way to the Super Bowl.
The NFL is also launching a dedicated channel on TuneIn, giving Premium subscribers access to NFL network shows as well as NFL podcasts and original content produced by TuneIn. And every Sunday, TuneIn will have a seven hour live show with live segments of games as they unfold and additional coverage.
TuneIn premium costs subscribers $7.99 per month. The company launched the premium tier in August with MLB, Premier League and Bundesliga broadcasts as well as 40,000 audiobooks and select ad-free radio streams. TuneIn CEO John Donham told Variety at the time that his goal was to compete with Sirius XM. “Our goal is to become that new premium radio,” he said.
