PARIS– Three months after being acquired by Ymagis, Eclair is launching Eclair Preservation, a new banner dedicated to the film and TV industry. The new banner will be operated by Augy Stock, a physical storage services company which was previously owned by Eclair Group before the Ymagis acquisition.
Headquartered in Ile de France, Eclair Preservation will be staffed with 30 experts and will provide management and digital, as well as physical storage of feature films and television programs in 35 milimeters, video and digital format.
“This division (…) allows our clients – producers, sales agents, content catalog owners, distributors and television broadcasters – to benefit from innovative services in the secured management of physical and digital assets of all forms of content,” said Jean Mizrahi, prexy and CEO of Ymagis Group.
“With an increased investment in our R&D efforts initially launched by Eclair, we aim to develop our offer, particularly with our Storm program. This platform allows easy access to library assessment and the ability to place online orders for any type of works, including transcoding and content delivery,” added Mizrahi, who attended the Rencontres Cinematographique confab hosted by ARP – the guild for authors, directors and producers — in Dijon (France).
Christophe Lacroix, deputy CEO of Eclair and senior VP of content services for Ymagis Group, explained the group would tap into its team of experts and tech tools such as Storm to implement a “forward-thinking strategy that facilitates the preservation process and allows access to assets stored physically or digitally.”
Eclair Preservation will also provide clients with automated content delivery and content previews.
