The critics may make the picks, but fans won’t be left out of the fun in Thursday’s “Critics Choice Awards” on A&E.

The show will feature Social Centerpiece, a customized tablet at each table inside the awards ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium, allowing stars to create live updates from inside the ceremony on Twitter and Vine. The promotion, in partnership with digital marketing agency 360i, allows attendees to snap selfies, respond to fans and engage with critics and other celebs without ever leaving their seats.

Host Michael Strahan will promote the technological tie-in by calling out fan tweets and issuing social challenges throughout the evening, and viewers can follow @CriticsChoice and @AETV to see what table wins “best celeb picture of the night” as voted by the fans.

The Critics Choice Awards are 9 p.m. Thursday on A&E.
