Comedy Central is starting to crank out serialized original content for Snapchat’s Discover platform: The network debuted a new, mobile-optimized show called “Swag-A-Saurus,” starring James Davis, on Tuesday, and has plans to launch four additional shows over the coming months.

“Swag-A-Saurus” aims to explain puzzling slang expressions, “enlightening fans to what they’ve been pretending to know all along,” as Comedy Central’s press release put it.

The show comes nine months after the network started to contribute to Discover as a launch partner. Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless didn’t reveal any metrics when announcing the new original programming Tuesday, but said that Discover had been “an incredible partner” for the network’s brand, suggesting that the investment into the platform may be primarily about presence and branding at this point. “Creating original series specifically for Snapchat is the perfect next step in the evolution of our content,” she added.

Comedy Central plans to launch four additional shows starring Nikki Glaser, Liza Treyger, Yassir Lester and Michelle Wolf on Discover, but hasn’t announced any launch dates for those shows yet.
