The special will launch on Friday, March 6, at 12:01 a.m. PT in all territories where Netflix is available.
In the special, Ansari — a comedian whose credits include NBC’s “Parks & Recreation” — addresses topics ranging from the struggle of American immigrants to the food industry to relationships to gender inequality, in front of a sold-out crowd.
“Live at Madison Square Garden” joins Ansari’s first Netflix original standup special, “Buried Alive,” which is currently streaming on Netflix around the world. Ansari’s previous standup specials, “Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening” and “Dangerously Delicious,” are also available for streaming on Netflix in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland and the Nordics.
“Aziz Ansari: Live at Madison Square Garden” is executive produced by Mike Berkowitz, Dave Becky and David Miner.
Ansari recently signed with WME after previously being repped by UTA prior to signing with CAA last March.
