CANNES– Shutterstock and Red Bull Media House have inked an exclusive distribution pact to market and license a video collection filmed in remote locations around the world in high-quality HD and 4K.

Announced at Mipcom, the deal with allow Shutterstock subscribers to access to thousands of rare aerial, time-lapse, slow motion, adventure, wildlife and landscape footage with a royalty-free license. The video clips are captured using advanced camera technology and stabilizing systems.

“Red Bull Media House is world renowned for its storytelling and high-quality content,” pointed out Aditi Gokhale, Shutterstock’s chief marketing officer, adding that the pact will benefit marketers, producers and creative professionals seeking to enhance the visual storytelling of their content.

The two company will also be joining forces on a marketing initiative kicking off with “Point of View,” a series of videos weaving the distinct worlds of each brand. “Point of View” will feature world class athletes appearing in Red Bull Media House productions. These videos will capture footage of some of the world’s most extreme environments with POV camera technology. The global platforms redbull.com and shutterstock.com, as well as their respective social media platforms will be producing and distributing the content.

Shutterstock, which boasts more than 60 million images and 3 million video clips for license, is headquartered in New York City, with offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Chicago, Denver, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, Paris and San Francisco. The company’s customers’ base spans more than 150 countries.
