Multiplatform video services provider Vubiquity has named Michele Edelman, previously a longtime marketing exec at Warner Bros., as executive VP of marketing and communications.

At Warner Bros., Edelman was most recently VP of worldwide direct-to-consumer marketing in the studio’s home entertainment division, overseeing initiatives including the WB Social Enterprise and the Warner Bros. Digital Entertainment Store. Prior to that, she was VP of worldwide marketing, programming and acquisitions for Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. Edelman originally joined WB in 1999.

Vubiquity CEO Darcy Antonellis also is a Warners alumna: She was president of technical operations and CTO of Warner Bros. Entertainment before leaving to join Vubiquity in January 2014.

“Michele’s industry expertise and history are steeped in all things digital,” Antonellis said. “As media and entertainment continues to be more deeply embedded in all things within the Internet of Things globally, she’s the perfect executive to head Vubiquity’s product and services marketing and communications efforts.”

Separately, Vubiquity said earlier this week that Ross Levinsohn, former CEO of Guggenheim Digital Media and interim CEO of Yahoo, has joined its board.
