Conde Nast Entertainment Hires Spotify’s Research Head Tatiana Gonzalez Rama

Conde Nast Entertainment continues to build out its ranks, tapping Tatiana Gonzalez Rama to lead the group’s video research and analytics team in a newly created role.

New York-based Gonzalez Rama most recently was Spotify’s global head of insights and research. Before joining Spotify in July 2013, she spent seven years at Google in senior analytics roles developing research for the Internet giant’s advertising clients.

Gonzalez Rama reports to Joy Marcus, executive VP and GM of digital video of Condé Nast Entertainment, who joined the company in May after serving as GM of U.S. operations for Dailymotion. Other recent hires by Marcus include Mode Media’s Jennifer Salant to lead business development, and Nathan Guetta, previously with Samsung and Dailymotion, to head product.

“Data is the backbone of everything we do at CNÉ,” Marcus said in announcing Gonzalez Rama’s appointment. “Tatiana and her team will play an absolutely critical role in our growth.”

Since first launching in 2013, Conde Nast Entertainment has expanded its digital video network to include 19 brand channels and a video-aggregation hub, The Scene, with several dozen partners. (Disclosure: Variety is a partner with CNÉ for The Scene.)
