The show, offering inside access to Hollywood films and stars and aimed at Chinese audiences, is being produced by Zhou in partnership with Hollywood film studios Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney Studios, Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
iQiYi, the online video platform that is a subsidiary of China’s Internet search giant Baidu, said that it will promote and distribute the original entertainment news show. The first episode went to air on Aug. 4. Subsequent editions will play every Tuesday and remain on the site for wider viewing.
Clips include encounters with Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Adam Sandler.
Chinese-born Zhou enjoyed an acting career in Singapore and has acted as a bilingual host in China for tour events featuring top NBA players including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard.
