China’s LeTV To Stream U.S. Basketball Season

Chinese online video platform LeTV has struck an agreement to stream the PAC-12 U.S. men’s basketball games through the 2015 season.

The deal is exclusive to LeTV and gives the platform 27 games, which will be live streamed.

In November the PAC-12 will hold a game in China, between University of Washington and University of Texas.

Basketball is hugely popular in China. The National Basketball Association last month signed a five year extension to its existing deal with Chinese Internet giant Tencent.

LeTV, is one of China’s leading online video platforms and has more than 100,000 television episodes and 5,000 movies. Its sports deals include those with FIFA, the PGA and Formula E.
