Film editor and sound designer Walter Murch has been added to the lineup at the View Conference in Turin, Italy.

Murch will give a keynote address entitled “From ‘Godfather’ to God Particle and Beyond” on Friday, Oct. 23, discussing how film grammar is constantly changing, yet doesn’t change even as digital technologies are introduced.

Murch has worked on such notable movies as “The Godfather,” “The Godfather Part II,” “Apocalypse Now” and “American Graffiti,” among others.

The conference, which began Oct. 19 and runs through Oct. 23, brings together professionals for the latest trends in computer graphics, interactive techniques, digital cinema, 2D and 3D animation, gaming and visual effects.
