UTA has hired agents Mackenzie Condon and Chelsea McKinnies; the duo are the latest in a string of high-profile agents to leave CAA’s comedy department this week.
Both Condon and McKinnies were rumored to be leaving, and UTA confirmed the news Wednesday, bringing the total number of agents who have left CAA for UTA up to 10, including Jason Heyman and Martin Lesak, who will become partners at the rival firm, alongside former CAA agents Greg McKnight, Greg Cavic and Nick Nuciforo.
Condon is a talent and literary agent working in film and television and will be based in UTA’s New York offices. McKinnies is a motion picture talent agent working in UTA’s Beverly Hills offices.
Sources say more agents are expected to leave CAA for UTA, and all clients are expected to follow. Chris Pratt and Will Ferrell are among the high-profiles names that have already followed their agents to UTA.
