Pop culture heavyweights Miley Cyrus and Andy Cohen will be honored at amfAR’s sixth annual Inspiration Gala, taking place June 16 at Spring Studios in New York.
The pair will be celebrated for their support in the fight against AIDS. Both Cyrus and Cohen will receive the Inspiration Award at the gala.
Actress and singer Cyrus lends her philanthropic support to amfAR, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Cyrus is also a spokeswoman for MAC’s Viva Glam lipstick line, and all of the proceeds from Cyrus’ exclusive lip colors go toward the MAC AIDS Fund. In addition, Cyrus recently started the nonprofit Happy Hippie Foundation, which aims to inspire young people to speak out against injustice, particularly youth homelessness.
Bravo star Cohen has been an avid supporter of amfAR for more than 10 years, having hosted and chaired events for the foundation in the past. He also sits on the board of directors for Friends in Deed, a crisis center for life-threatening illnesses.
The black-tie gala will include an auction, a fashion show and live entertainment.
