Former Vice President Al Gore, producer Kevin Wall and musician Pharrell Williams are teaming up to revive Live Earth, the concert event that Gore and Wall staged in 2007 to call attention to climate change.

The next Live Earth — called Live Earth: Road to Paris — will take place on June 18, with concerts in Paris, New York, Brazil, South Africa, China and Australia. The objective will be to collect 1 billion signatures urging world leaders to reach a climate agreement at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris in December.

Williams will serve as creative director for the event, will a talent lineup to be announced. He also was among the major performers who participated in Live Earth in 2007.

The latest Live Earth was announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Climate Reality Project and Control Room are also among the event organizers.
