Incentives Scorecard: Utah Offers Refundable Tax Credit

One of cinema’s most recognizable landscapes, Utah’s iconic Monument Valley has served as the location of scenes in films ranging from John Ford Westerns to “Forrest Gump” to “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” The state offers a refundable tax credit of up to 25% of qualified expenditures, an ample crew base, multiple film offices — and each January hosts one of the world’s major film festivals in Park City.
