Legend3D Launches Virtual Reality Division

3D conversion and vfx studio Legend 3D announced Tuesday that it has launched a virtual reality division, as well as received a contract from an undisclosed retail brand to provide “360 camera capture, creative consultation, vfx and conversion work for a 360-degree stereoscopic VR experience.”

Legend’s VR division will offer clients services from concept to completion for any VR device in both 2D and 3D 360-degree formats. Legend previously released the VR short “The Recruit: R U In” in partnership with Metaverse Inc. at CES 2015. The short, for Samsung’s Gear VR, is available for download at Samsung’s Milk VR store.

The studio, with previous work spanning commercials as well as feature films including “Jupiter Ascending,” “The Lego Movie” and “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” said it is currently partnering with feature film studios, advertising agencies and retail brands for future VR experiences.
