Digital Domain Taps Erika Burton as Executive VP/General Manager

Digital Domain announced Tuesday that visual effects vet Erika W. Burton will assume the position of executive VP/general manager.

Burton will help develop the studio’s long term goals and propose new initiatives, while focusing on production, sales and marketing.

“Erika brings an incredible wealth of production experience and deep industry relationships to our studio,” said Digital Domain president O.D. Welch.

Burton has over two decades of experience in the visual effects and animation industries, including an executive position at DreamWorks Animation as well as roles at Disney and ILM.  Her most notable film credits include visual effects work on “Life of Pi,” “The Chronicles of Narnia,” and “Mission: Impossible.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a talented and remarkable group of artists,” said Burton.  “Digital Domain has been a groundbreaking industry leader for over two decades.”

A graduate of UCLA, Burton is also a member of Visual Effects Society and the Producers Guild of America.
