WGN America is adding to its original programming menu with orders for two unscripted series, “Wrestling with Death” and “Outlaw Country.”

“Wrestling” revolves around the Wilson family of Arkansas who run a funeral home by day and a wrestling league by night. “Outlaw Country” is described as a docudrama about the conflicts in a Buckner, Mo. between two brothers who dominate local law enforcement and two brothers who are suspected of criminal activity.

“Wrestling” is set to bow Jan. 13 on the Tribune cabler. “Outlaw” will premiere Feb. 24.

WGN has ordered seven hourlong episodes of “Outlaw Country,” exec produced by Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey for Bischoff Hervey Entertainment and Robert Kaprill and Peter Karlin.

“Wrestling with Death” has an order for 12 half-hour segs which will run back-to-back each week. The series hails from Leftfield Pictures. Leftfield’s Brent Montgomery, David George, Alex Weresow and Jordana Hochman exec producer with Bill Katz and Michelle Katz of Espiritus Prods.
