In a new sneak peak for Syfy’s “Sharknado 2: The Second One,” the sharks are invading New York City’s subway system.
The clip features Ian Ziering as Fin, the returning hero from last year’s “Sharknado,” on a subway car with his old friend Martin, a new character played by Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath. Their rekindling time is cut short by the appearance of one of the titular creatures as it bursts through the car inside the quickly flooding tunnels.
“Sharknado,” by small film studio The Asylum, was a surprise hit when it premiered on Syfy in July 2013. The sequel brings back lead castmembers Ziering and Tara Reid in a new disaster adventure across the country from their original Los Angeles setting.
The film will also star newcomers Vivica A. Fox, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick and Perez Hilton. Syfy has already greenlit a follow-up “Sharknado 3” to air on the network in 2015.
“Sharknado 2: The Second One” is set to premiere July 30 on Syfy.
