Watch: CW’s First Trailer For ‘The Flash’

The CW has released the first trailer for its comicbook spinoff “The Flash.”

Debuting during the first commercial break in “Arrow’s” season finale, the trailer shows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) aka the superhero Flash, marking the first time Allen has been seen since his he was struck by lightning at the end of his two-episode appearance on “Arrow” in November.

In the clip, the Green Arrow shoots an arrow towards a target and The Flash comes in with supersonic speed to catch it at the last second.

John Wesley Shipp, the original Barry Allen from the ’90s series, also joins the cast along with Daneille Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton and Rick Cosnett.

“Arrow’s” Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and director David Nutter are executive producers on the spinoff. Nutter will also be directing the pilot written by Berlanti, Kreisberg and DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns. Melissa Kellner Berman will  serve as co-executive producer.

The CW releases its fall schedule at New York’s Upfronts presentations on Thursday.
