USA Network is shaking off its long-standing blue-skies approach to programming with a slate of edgier serialized dramas planned for later this year.

During tonight’s finale of “Suits,” viewers will get a sneak peek at “Rush,” slated for a third-quarter bow. “Rush,” from Fox 21, stars Tom Ellis (“EastEnders”) as a hard-partying on-call Hollywood doctor who’ll treat any ailment – as long as his clients can pay his cash-only premium.

The cable net is also planning late 2014 debuts for the event-series “Dig,” from executive producers Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and Gideon Raff (“Homeland”), starring Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche, as well as the provocative “Satisfaction,” from executive producer Sean Jablonski and starring Matt Passmore and Stephanie Szostak as a married couple in crisis.
