The show is produced by FremantleMedia’s Thames and Simon Cowell’s production company SycoTV.
It will play as live via satellite from the U.K. every Sunday and Monday from Aug 31 at 10:30 a.m. with a primetime encore at 9:00 p.m.
“This is the first time that ‘The X Factor UK’ is being made available to audiences outside the UK. In Asia, we have historically seen mostly talent competitions from the U.S. and local versions of popular formats,” said Jennifer Batty, EVP Programming, RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network.
“The X Factor UK” has helped discover stars such as Leona Lewis, Olly Murs, Little Mix and boy band One Direction.
The eleventh series will see the return of judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh. Mel B aka Scary Spice will be the fourth judge on the panel. The winner of the competition will receive a recording contract valued at £1 million ($1.73 million).
