Courtney Love has signed on to Fox’s music-biz drama “Empire” as a recurring guest star.
Love will play a rocker who is signed to the record label run by Terrence Howard in the Imagine TV/20th Century Fox TV drama from Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. “Empire” is slated to bow in January.
In other casting news:
- Mena Suvari has been tapped to star in We TV’s supernatural drama series “South of Hell,” playing an exorcist who has to expel her own demon. Production is under way in Charleston, S.C. for a 2015 debut. Zachary Booth, Bill Irwin, Drew Moerlein, Lamman Rucker and Paulina Singer co-star.
- Mary McCormack and Alicia Witt will guest star in the fourth season of Showtime’s “House of Lies,” which bows Jan. 11.
