TNT is going for guys this summer with a trio of action dramas it will launch after its coverage of the NBA Playoffs.
The net on Monday announced premiere dates for the fourth season of “Falling Skies” as well as newcomers “The Last Ship” and “Legends.”
The action kicks of Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. with the premiere of “The Last Ship,” from exec producer Michael Bay. Eric Dane and Rhona Mitra star in the series about a Navy vessel that may be humanity’s last hope in the wake of a worldwide catatastrophe.
“Ship” will lead into “Falling Skies, the Amblin Television series from executive producer Steven Spielberg. Noah Wyle stars in the drama about the struggle against a deadly force of invaders.
In August, the net brings on “Legends,” from “Homeland” executive producers Howard Gordon and Alexander Cary and “Fringe” co-executive producer David Wilcox. “Legendds” stars Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”) as a deep-undercover FBI agent who may be losing his grip on reality.
TNT this summer will also air new seasons of “Franklin & Bash,” “Major Crimes,” “Perception” and “Rizzoli & Isles” as well as new episodes of “Dallas.” The net will also launch Stephen Bochco’s new crime drama “Murder in the First.”
