Showtime, Fox 21 Developing Dark Comedy from Creator of UK’s ‘Spy’

Showtime and Fox 21 have closed a development deal on “Control Alt Delete,” a comedy created and written by Simeon Goulden.

Sounding like a cross between Showtime’s “Dexter” and “House of Lies,” the half-hour project follows four smart-ass, workaholic associates in a “white shoe” law firm who are feverishly trying to move up the corporate ladder while also avoiding becoming the next victim of the office serial killer.

Goulden will executive produce alongside Chernin’s Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope and Small Dog Pictures’ Renate Radford. Jason Winer will direct and also executive produce under the Small Dog banner.

Goulden, who is known for creating the 2011 version of the UK comedy “Spy,” is represented by UTA and Curtis Brown Group. Winer is represented by ICM Partners and Mosaic. His directing credits include the feature film “Arthur” and the recently canceled CBS comedy “The Crazy Ones,” which he also executive produced.
