Skydance Television Promotes Development Exec

Bill Bost has been promoted to director of development for Skydance Television, the banner behind WGN America’s “Manhattan” and the upcoming Netflix comedy “Grace and Frankie.”

Bost had been manager of development tasked with overseeing “Grace,” which is now in production with Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda starring for debut next year.

Bost moved over from the feature side of Skydance last year after Fox alum Marcy Ross was recruited by Skydance chief David Ellison to launch the TV wing.

“I knew once I met him that his heart belonged in television,” Ross said of Bost. “Bill has been instrumental in attracting talent and along with (VP) Carolyn Harris, is helping to grow the television group into a vital, creative studio.”

Bost started out at Skydance as Ellison’s assistant. Before that, he worked at Martin Chase Prods.
