The CW has announced the first two stars for the Warner Bros. TV-produced pilot of its “Supernatural” spinoff.
Lucien Laviscount, who has appeared in the UK versions of “Shameless” and “Skins,” will play Ennis Roth, a police academy trainee out for justice after his fiancee becomes a casualty of monster war crossfire.
Nathaniel Buzolic, who is known to CW audiences as original vampire Kol on “The Vampire Diaries” and that spinoff, will play David Hayden, a shapeshifter living as a human who has turned his back on his powerful monster family.
“Supernatural: Tribes,” which is exec produced and penned by “Supernatural’s” Andrew Dabb, concentrates on the monster mafia that runs Chicago’s seedy underbelly — and the newly-minted hunter determined to boot them from the Windy City. Other exec producers are Eric Kripke, Robert Singer, Jeremy Carver and McG.
Laviscount is repped by Industry Entertainment and Waring & McKenna in UK. Buzolic is repped by UTA and Untitled.
The pilot, which is directed by Singer, will air as an episode of “Supernatural” on April 29.
