In honor of gay pride month, Showtime is bringing back its series “Queer as Folk” and “The L Word” and will air every season of both skeins on Showtime Showcase from June through November.

Back-to-back episodes of both series will air weeknights at 8 p.m. from June 2 through June 30, and then exclusively on Thursday nights from July 3 through Nov. 13. All five seasons of “Queer as Folk” and the complete six seasons of “The L Word” will also be available via Showtime On Demand and Showtime Anytime beginning this summer.

“Queer as Folk,” developed for American TV by Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman, centered on a group of young gay men and lesbians living in Pittsburgh, Pa. “The L Word,” from creators Ilene Chaiken, Kathy Greenberg and Michele Abbott, depicted the lives of lesbian couples and their friends in Los Angeles.

Both skeins were honored by the GLAAD Media Awards as outstanding drama series.

“The L Word’s” Chaiken will also premiere her new documentary on Showtime this summer.
