Sharon Stone to Star in TNT Pilot ‘Agent X’

Sharon Stone is making a play for the small screen, as the “Basic Instinct” star is slated to topline TNT drama pilot “Agent X.”

From “Bourne Identity” scribe William Blake Herron, “Agent X” features Stone playing America’s first female Vice President, Natalie Maccabee. After the death of her husband, a Senate candidate, Natalie opted to run in his place for the post. Following a rapid rise as a political star, she soon learns her job comes with a top secret duty: protecting the Constitution in times of great crisis with the aid of her Chief Steward and a secret operative, Agent X.

Beacon Pictures is producing the pilot with Armyan Bernstein exec producing.

Stone’s TV credits include appearances on “Law and Order: SVU,” “The Practice,” “Will & Grace” and HBO telepic “If These Walls Could Talk 2.”
