Monty Python Live Show to Air on Sundance Channel

Monty Python returns with the highly anticipated reunion special “Monty Python Live (Mostly) One Down, Five To Go,” which has been acquired from Eagle Rock Entertainment to premiere exclusively on Sundance Channel Global in Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa.

The five remaining cast members are set to perform at London’s O2 Arena next month.

In other AMC/Sundance Channel Global acquisitions announcements, it has also nabbed the second season of “Rectify” from ITV Studios Global Entertainment as a first window for all Sundance Channel Global territories worldwide.

Rectify” will premiere this fall in the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America, alongside the previously announced distribution throughout Asia and Europe.

Further seasons of “Mr Selfridge” starring Jeremy Piven have been acquired from ITVS GE for Asia and Latin America, which includes season two premiering in 2014 and season three in 2015.

“The Code” has been acquired from DCD and will debut in Latin America later this year, along with the second season of “Borgen” from American Video Films.

Sundance Channel in Dutch Benelux territories will debut acclaimed British series “Peaky Blinders” from Endemol later this year and “Utopia” from Shine International in 2015.

For Iberia, the drama “Perfidia” has been acquired from Kevin Williams Associates to debut in 2015, along with the second season of “Prófugos” from HBO to premiere at a later date.
