Melissa McCarthy to Host ‘SNL’ Super Bowl Weekend (EXCLUSIVE)

Melissa McCarthy will return to host “SNL” over Super Bowl weekend, sources tell Variety.

The actress, who can next be seen in the road trip comedy “Tammy,” is making her third appearance on the NBC sketch series. Her two previous stints drew solid ratings for the latenight comedy.

No word yet on the musical guest for the Feb. 1 episode.

“Tammy,” co-starring Susan Sarandon, opens this summer and tells the story of a woman who hits the road with her profane, hard-drinking grandmother.

As previously announced, “SNL” will return with new episodes on Jan. 18 with Drake making his debut as both host and musical guest.

Jonah Hill will host on Jan. 25 with musical guest Bastille.
