Matt Kunitz, creator and executive producer of “Wipeout” and executive producer of “Fear Factor” has entered into a multi-year, overall television agreement with Lionsgate.

Under the new agreement, Kunitz will develop and produce unscripted programming through his Pulse Creative banner. He will work in conjunction with Pulse Creative development exec Rebecca Quinn at Lionsgate.

“Matt is a powerhouse producer who knows what it takes to create reality hits with worldwide appeal,” said Lionsgate Television Group chairman Kevin Beggs, announcing the news. “Building our brand in this arena continues to be a priority for Lionsgate and we’re delighted to be in business with him.”

“I am excited to be joining a company known for such iconic franchises as ‘The Hunger Games,’ ‘Twilight,’ ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Orange is The New Black,’” said Kunitz. “This new deal allows me the creative freedom to broaden my brand with a goal of bringing Lionsgate more successful franchises as they expand their reach into the unscripted market.”
