Lena Dunham, creator and star of HBO’s “Girls,” will make her “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut on March 8.

Musical guests will be The National, who are also making their debut on NBC’s long-running comedy show. The National’s most recent album, “Trouble Will Find Me,” received a Grammy nomination for alternative album this year. Their documentary “Mistaken For Strangers” hits theaters during the last week of March.

The much-lauded “Girls” was renewed for a fourth season in January.

“SNL,” which is produced in association with Broadway Video and is created and and executive produced by Lorne Michaels, returns this week with host Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck.
