Krysten Ritter is finalizing a deal to star in the NBC pilot “Mission Control” from executive producers Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, Variety has learned.

The comedy, written by “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s” David Hornsby, is a workplace ensemble set in the 1960s with an “Anchorman” type vibe.

Ritter, who will also produce the project, has a first-look development deal with Uni TV, the studio overseeing “Mission Control.” The “Breaking Bad” and “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23” alum is repped by WME, Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management, the Group Entertainment and Bloom Hergott and appears in the upcoming “Veronica Mars” movie.

Variety sister site Deadline Hollywood first reporting the casting.
