Kathryn Hahn will remain the co-star of the Showtime pilot “Happyish,” reprising the role that she previously played opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Showtime is filming a new pilot for “Happyish,” with Steve Coogan stepping into the role originally played by Hoffman. Showtime had ordered “Happyish” to series just two weeks before Hoffman died of a drug overdose in February at the age of 46.

The series revolves around a man facing a mid-life crisis. Hahn plays Coogan’s wife and mother of their six-year-old son.

Hahn’s character “is fierce while funny, defiant while vulnerable; no one can pull that off as deftly, subtly and sincerely as Kathryn Hahn,” said “Happyish” creator Shalom Auslander.

Production on the new “Happyish” pilot is to begin next month in New York. Hahn’s long list of film and TV credits include “Revolutionary Road,” “We’re the Millers,” “Transparent” and “Parks and Recreation.” She’s repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
