E! gave expanded duties to two executives Thursday, one of the first significant executive reshufflings to take place at the network since Adam Stotsky was named general manager at the cable network in September.
John Najarian was named executive vice president of news and digital and the celebrity-focused network, adding oversight of the network’s news division and E! News series, while continuing to lead its digital operations. Jen Neal was named executive vice president of marketing for E! Entertainment and Esquire Network, adding oversight of brand strategy and all marketing activity for Esquire Network to her existing responsibilities as head of E! marketing.
Najarian joined E! in 2001 and has played an integral role in driving E!’s growth across mobile, social media, licensing of digital video, and the development of successful original digital productions such as “E! News Now” and “E! Online’s Live from E!” He previously held senior-level positions at AOL and Disney.
Neal oversees and directs all marketing initiatives for Esquire Network, including advertising, media strategies, creative, brand alliances, promotion and integrated marketing across all platforms. She will continue her leadership role at E! as EVP, Marketing for the multiplatform pop culture brand. Before joining E! in 2012, Neal served as chief marketing officer for BBDO North America. Previously, she was at Omnicom ad-buying agency PH, where she was managing partner of the New York office and led all East Coast client relationships, including entertainment brands Discovery Networks, HBO, BBC and the Travel Channel.
