Jack Coleman Returns for NBC’s ‘Heroes’ Miniseries

“Heroes” alum Jack Coleman is dusting off his horn-rimmed glasses, as he is the first original cast member to return for “Heroes Reborn,” the miniseries reboot of NBC’s popular superhero series that ran from 2006 to 2010.

Coleman will reprise his role as Noah Bennet, the (possibly) misunderstood Heroes napper — and adoptive father of Hayden Panettiere’s cheerleader Claire — who was known to fans as the Man with the Horn-Rimmed Glasses (or HRG) because of his trademark specs.

NBC announced the 13-episode limited event series in February. Show creator Tim Kring is at the helm. An accompanying digital series will bow before the show’s premiere, which is set for 2015.

Coleman, who recently appeared as Sally Langston’s husband Daniel Douglas on “Scandal” and Senator William H. Bracken on “Castle” and has also been seen on “The Office” and “The Vampire Diaries,” is repped by Domain and manager Steven Levy.

Variety sister site Deadline Hollywood first broke the news of the casting.

When Martin Scorsese complains that a Marvel movie isn’t cinema, he’s not wrong. But his critique of the commercialism undergirding those movies is expressed in the language and tone of an old crank defending a fading novelty from some darned, degenerate kids. It’s not that the theatrical movie-going experience (so sacred!) is going away anytime [...]
